K. B. Ganapathy: Baba Ramdev and Alexander the Great

Baba Ramdev's refusal to end his fast unless all his followers gathered at the Ambedkar Stadium were provided food and water, reminded me of this historic event of Alexander. This is a great leadership quality. That is why the Emperor of Greece was called Alexander the Great. Read On
T. J. S. George: If Politics were an event in Olympics, India would have won all medals
We are an honourable capitalist country, so we can't resort to communist methods. But why are there not enough entrepreneurs setting up sports schools with honourable profit motives? Perhaps they have no prospects when politicians are meddling in sports. So we are back at the mercy of the State. Unless the Government bans political leaders from sports, our athletes will have to find gold in bronze and the nation must hold its head between its knees. How about FDI in sports? At least PPP? To Radiocity FM with love and disgust.
Of late, they have started broadcasting Kannada songs. This is done in the evening during the weekdays in a programme called Hotair. They broadcast some 4-5 songs, that's it. This is really bad. The issue here is not just about Kannada songs but it should be seen in a broader sense. It is about the bias against Kannada by Radiocity. When a full 4 hours can be dedicated for Old Hindi songs(11 O'clock show), 15 hours for English music and the rest for new Hindi music, is it impossible to dedicate 2-3 hours for the local language. This is my point. Read On
